For his Hyperion debut, pianist LuĆs Duarte records works by a major figure of 20th-century Portuguese music: Fernando Lopes-GraƧa. This music from 1950s Portugal explores a wide range of styles, moods and influences: 11 āGlossesā on traditional Portuguese songs, re-working folk songs local to various regions of Portugal, and 5 Lullabies, three of which are world-premiere recordings.
